LEE HOUGH HONORED WITH AWARD

Alive Communications Vice President Lee Hough has been named the recipient of the 2013 Lifetime Achievement Christy Award for his lasting contribution to the publishing industry as a literary agent, it was announced today by Donna Kehoe, the organization’s Executive Director. The special honor will be presented at the annual Christy Awards dinner Monday, June 24, from 7 to 9:30 pm, at the Renaissance Grand Hotel in St Louis. Notice of the award follows Friday’s alert from Alive’s President Rick Christian that Hough’s Stage 4 glioblastoma brain tumor, which he’d battled successfully for two years, has spread. “Lee’s quarterly MRI last month was clear, but symptoms flared up recently and another test two weeks ago indicated that barring a miracle, he has about 2 months to live,” Christian wrote. Hough served at Alive for 12 1/2 years. Friday was his last day of work.
