EPA SEEKS NEW DIRECTOR

The Board of Directors of the Evangelical Press Association (EPA) is launching a search for a new executive director. While the board plans to have a new executive director selected by May 1, current executive director Doug Trouten will continue through May 31.

The board determined that new leadership is required to rebuild the membership base, generate new revenue streams and restore financial stability to EPA. In addition to these responsibilities, the next executive director will continue to provide quality training, education enhancements and develop resources for members.

"We're grateful for Doug's longtime commitment to the association, not only over the last 10 years but also for two decades previously in a variety of capacities," says EPA President Dean Ridings. "We are looking forward to the continued involvement of Doug and his wife, Lis, in the association."

"I've been honored to lead EPA, but I understand that the board believes it's time for a change. I wish my successor well and will work to ensure a smooth transition," said Trouten, who will continue in his full-time role as a journalism professor at Northwestern College in St. Paul, Minn.

The Evangelical Press Association was founded in 1948. Its members produce periodical titles reaching a combined audience of more than 20 million.
