IDAHO BOOK EXTRAVAGANZA

Former Major League Baseball Scout and Founder of Unlimited Potential Inc. to Talk About Writing & Sports at IBE October 22-23, 2010 in Meridian, ID

Tom Roy, founder of Unlimited Potential Inc. (UPI) and author of "Released: A story of God's power released in baseball" (BMH Books, 2010), will be among a handful of publishers, literary agents and best-selling authors speaking at the inaugural Idaho Book Extravaganza on October 22-23, 2010 at the Silverstone Plaza in Meridian, Idaho.

Roy served as an associate scout for the Philadelphia Phillies, San Diego Padres and Atlanta Braves as well as head baseball coach at Grace College in Indiana. However, his work with Major League players to teach baseball clinics and share their faith in more than 60 countries through UPI is where he has spent most of his time in recent years and is the subject of his new book.

Today, Roy continues his work with UPI as well as serving as a guest chaplain for professional sports teams as he did Monday night before the Chicago Bears-Green Bay Packers game. At IBE, Roy will be teaming up with veteran sports writer and author Jason Chatraw to teach a writing workshop on Compelling Writing on Sports.

The Idaho Book Extravaganza will feature local and best-selling authors, literary agents, publishers, graphic designers, marketing experts, booksellers, and many other industry professionals. The event will be free and open to the public.

The event will feature more than 24 workshops for authors, writers, or anyone interested in conducting business within the book industry. This is a great opportunity to learn how to get started on an aspiring writer's first book, expand sales and visibility on a current book, learn from experienced authors and discover new trends in publishing.

The dates and times are Friday, October 22nd from 3:30pm-7:30pm and Saturday, October 23rd from 10:00am-6:00pm. This event will be held at the Silverstone Plaza at 3405 E. Overland Road (on the S.E. corner of Eagle/Overland) Meridian, Idaho 83642.
